  • David Long, President and CEO

    A business innovator with 18 years of IT experience, David began his career working in defence on electronic warfare applications. He later moved to telecom and worked on OC3 technology at Nortel where his design techniques were noticed early and led to several awards. He excels in designing software architectures, ICT, e-government and software systems. In addition, David has extensive presentation experience and has pioneered a variety of highly successful market approaches.

    David has a B.Sc. in Computer Mathematics from Carleton University.

  • Scott MacGregor, Vice-President of Marketing and Communications

    For the past 20 years Scott MacGregor has provided communications, change management and organizational development advice and support for domestic and international clients in the public, private and not for profit sectors.

    Over the course of his career he has played key roles in communicating many of the Government of Canada’s key modernization initiatives including the Information Highway Advisory Council, the Electronic Commerce Task Force, the Innovation Agenda, Shared Services and the Public Service Modernization Act.  Past clients include many departments and agencies of the Government of Canada, the Library of Parliament, the Government of Grenada, the Canadian Environmental Network, the Canadian Cancer Society and the Health Charities Coalition of Canada.

    Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queens University at Kingston and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa. He also has a certificate in Adult Education from St Francis Xavier University and is a certified Open Space Technology facilitator.

  • Dan Demers, Director of National Public Issues, Canadian Cancer Society

    Mr. Dan Demers is the Director of National Public Issues at Canada’s largest charity, the Canadian Cancer Society where he leads a team of lobbyists working to reduce cancer rates and improve the lives of persons with this disease.   He brings over 20 years of experience as a senior manager in the Federal government.

    He served as Director of Strategic Initiatives at the National Research Council (NRC) with responsibility for developing interdepartmental and intergovernmental support for NRC’s strategic vision and the establishment of community based technology clusters across Canada. Mr. Demers also served as Chief of staff for two Federal Ministers with responsibility for Federal Science and Technology, Western Economic Diversification, International Financial Institutions and the Canadian International Trade Tribunal.

    Mr. Demers has extensive knowledge of the federal government at the political, legislation and regulation levels and was twice awarded the NRC’s outstanding achievement award for his work in government relations and nanotechnology.

    Mr. Demers was born and raised in Western Canada and studied Political Science at Dalhousie University and did his BA in Political Science and Geography at the University of Alberta.

  • Andrew Dickson, Executive Vice-President, My Broadcasting Corporation

    Andrew is co-founder and Executive Vice-President of My Broadcasting Corporation. MBC was established in 2004 when it was granted its first FM radio license in Renfrew, Ontario. Currently, the company operates 12 radio stations across Ontario under the branding of myFM with two more stations to be added in 2013.

    For 30 years, Andrew was President and owner of Custom Printers and General Store Publishing House. Custom Printers has been in business since 1972 and provides high quality printed material for clients in Ottawa and the Valley. General Store Publishing was established in 1982 and publishes a wide variety of titles annually both regionally and nationally.

    He is a former municipal councilor for the Town of Renfrew, where he served for 12 years as well was on the inaugural Board of Directors of the Champlain Local Health Integration Network. An active community member for 25 years, Andrew has served on the boards and committees of numerous organizations in Renfrew and area. Andrew and his wife, Karen, have three daughters and one grand-daughter. An avid sailor, he is a member of the Nepean Sailing Club.

    Andrew attained his MBA from the University of Ottawa in 2002.

  • Jane McVeigh, Vice-President of Human Resources, General Dynamics Canada

    As Vice-President of Human Resources for General Dynamics Canada, Jane McVeigh provides strategic direction and leadership to the company’s senior leadership and has responsibility for all aspects of organizational effectiveness.

    Over the past several years, Ms. McVeigh has spearheaded a series of strategic initiatives targeting leadership development and organizational change resulting in a significant shift in the company’s culture.

    Ms. McVeigh holds a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa and is a certified Human Resources Professional and an Integral Coach®. An active member of the community, Jane is a member of the Campaign Cabinet of the United Way.

    Jane is a member of the Worldwide Who’s Who and was awarded Business Woman of the Year in 2008.  She was also featured as one of Ottawa’s Women of Distinction for 2012.

  • Andrew Moffat, Entrepreneur in Residence, Invest Ottawa

    Andrew Moffat is the Co-Founder and CEO of Keshet Technologies Inc. Since 2004, Keshet has assisted up-and-coming IT businesses and entrepreneurs with financing and strategic guidance. Prior to Keshet, Mr. Moffat was a founder and the Chief Executive Officer of EDUCOM TS Inc., an independent software vendor, developing solutions for the email archive market space. According to leading industry analysts, EDUCOM was the global leader in its market space, prior to its sale in 2004 to ZANTAZ Corporation, a leading global provider of enterprise-class software and on-demand solutions for Information Retention and Discovery Management. Prior to EDUCOM’S sale, Mr. Moffat led EDUCOM to establish a global network of approximately 70 resellers, representing 100+ certified technicians and 200+ sales people. Mr. Moffat was able to successfully build a global client list of over 800 clients, many of whom are industry leaders in their own right. He strategically aligned himself with industry giants, such as IBM and Microsoft, as well as working with a number of Global 2000 companies.

    Mr. Moffat is committed to working closely with the community. His experience includes: supporting programs through the YWCA, having served on the board of directors of OCRI, CATA, Ottawa Software Cluster and SCOAP (a Division of CATA Alliance). Through his leadership, dedication, and creativity, Mr. Moffat made a positive impact on the information and communications technology industry while serving in the Canadian Forces. Since his retirement, he has continued to work with Governments and industry on how to leverage information technology to assist in restructuring business processes, distribute accountability, exploit information management, and empower users.

  • Donna Wankling, Vice-President of Marketing, Steinbach Credit Union

    As Vice President of Marketing with Steinbach Credit Union, Manitoba’s largest credit union, Donna is responsible for delivering business results and managing organizational risk through the development and deployment of strategy in the areas of strategic marketing planning, strategic brand management, integrated marketing communications, intelligence gathering, analysis and integration, communications and public relations, and sponsorship/event management.

    Past experience includes work at the Western Canada Lottery Corporation where, as Senior Manager of Advertising and Promotions, she had responsibility for the management of all advertising agencies and the development of creative strategies including the launch of new products.

    Later, as Vice President of Marketing at CAA Manitoba, Donna was responsible for all public, media and government relations, and for the publication of CAA’s quarterly magazine “Going Places”.  She was named by CAA National to the strategic marketing task force, the automotive services task force, the membership services & benefits task force and the travel agency task force.  She was also a key player in CAA’s Member Relationship Management (or CRM) working group.

  • Joe Kristiansen

    Mr Joe Kristiansen is a former member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, specializing in aircraft maintenance. He has worked in large and small maintenance organizations in both a technical and administrative capacity.

    His experience ranges from maintenance, records, training, policy and standards. Focusing on automating business processes with software tools and capabilities.

    Since his retirement in 2008 Joe has been the RCAF Data Team Lead in support of a national SAP implementation.

    Now as a managing partner with intERPredata Canada Corp. Joe has partnered with SageTea to develop and deliver the SageTea Centre of Excellence.

  • Greg Gagne

    For the past 20 years Greg Gagne has provided , configuration management, quality assurance, business analysis and management advice to government and Canadian and US private sectors.

    Over the course of his career he has played roles in development and delivery of several major procurement projects of the Government of Canada and the Department of National Defence. Past clients include departments of the Government of Canada, Major Defence Equipment suppliers, Bio-medical device manufacturers, commercial aircraft equipment suppliers and private consulting firms.

    Now as a managing partner with intERPredata Canada Corp. Greg has partnered with SageTea to develop and deliver the SageTea Center of Excellence.
